Þegi þú, Þórir!        Þegn est ógegn;
heyrðak, at héti        Hvinngestr faðir þinn.

Þegi þú, Þórir! Est ógegn þegn; heyrðak, at faðir þinn héti Hvinngestr.

Be quiet, Þórir! You’re an unreliable man; I heard that your father was called Hvinngestr (‘Thief-guest’).
