Anon Sól 59VII/3 — glæddum ‘glowing’

Margan mann        sá ek meiddan fara
        á þeim glæddum götum;
andlit þeira        sýnduz mér öll vera
        rýgjar blóði roðin.

Ek sá margan meiddan mann fara á þeim glæddum götum; öll andlit þeira sýnduz mér vera roðin blóði rýgjar.

I saw many a maimed man journey on the glowing paths; all their faces seemed to me to be reddened with an ogress’s blood.

[3] glæddum: glæddu all

[3] á þeim glæddum götum: Cf. st. 31/6: þær inar glæddu götur. The adj. (f. dat. pl. weak) must be emended to glæddum to agree with götum, although both Skj B and Skald retain the ms. form.
