Note to Anon Líkn 35VII

[7] þér er: NN §2329 (cf. Skald), objecting to er ‘who’ as overly elliptical for ‘[those] who’, suggests that the ‘-er’ abbreviation of þér ‘you’ be expanded to form þeir ‘they’. But there is no other instance of the abbreviation as ‘-eir’, and the ms. reading makes perfectly good sense.
