Hann fastnaði sér Sigrúnu Högna dóttur en er hon spyrr það þá reið hon með valkyrjur um loft ok um lög að leita Helga. Helgi var þá að Logafjöllum ok hafði bariz við Hundings sonu. Þar felldi hann þá Álf ok Eyjólf, Hjörvarð ok Hervarð ok var hann allvígmóðr ok sat undir Arasteini. Þar hitti Sigrún hann ok rann á háls hánum ok kyssti hann ok sagði hánum erendi sitt, svá sem segir íVölsunga kviðu inni fornu: ’
